The business departments are not going along with the S/4HANA transformation?

If this sounds familiar to you, you will feel similarly to many of the almost 40 application companies that came together on Tuesday at our online session of the German-speaking SAP User Group (DSAG e.V.) Pre-Transformation Focus Group.

The workshop focused on the topic of “Success factors & change drivers of an SAP S/4 transformation from the perspective of organisational transformation management”. Together with Martina Hecker from DSAG, Ben Heigert and Timo Hoelzel from bbh led through the interactive and very discussion-orientated round.

In addition to the wide range of experiences from SAP transformation projects contributed by our colleagues, there was an intensive exchange among the application companies – especially on three central challenges:

❔How can I ‘sell’ the S/4 transformation to decision makers?
❔How can I build a powerful business process organisation?
❔How can departments be won over as real supporters of the S/4 transformation?

Another highlight of the workshop was the case study of the recently completed SAP transformation at Veolia Germany, which was accompanied by us as bbh. Together with the project managers Matthias Frische and Fabian Fröhlingsdorf, the various challenges and experiences were reported ‘from the inside’.
